5Excellent disposable cup (+lid), with good durability
By Douglas B. Moran
I am periodically an organizer of off-site locations where we need to provide most amenities, and this is my primary use of this type of product. I rarely use disposable cups at home, office or in the car.

CUP itself: This is the best of this class of product that I have encountered. Having the third layer of insulation integral to the cup rather than as a separate sleeve makes for a surer grip, especially when picking up the cup. The texture is better than that of the typical cardboard sleeve. The cup's material holds up very well, showing no degradation after 2-3 hours of use, a point where many other disposable cups are showing "fatigue" that encourages me to get a new one. Other reviews here suggest that these cups might last repeated use over a full day meeting.

LID: The lids provide a tight, reliable fit. I experimented by simulating the jostling common at early morning meetings -- people bumping into each other and other obstacles because they are trying to maneuver through a crowd while carrying too much and before having their first cup of coffee. Also see the review by "loce the wizard" of March 27, 2010 where he reports dropping the cups and having the lids stay on.

SIZE: This is a 16-oz cup, where I have been used to 12- and 10-oz cups. I like the larger size because it allows people to leave enough headroom to avoid spilling without creating the need for premature refills. However, I noticed that a couple of the smaller women seemed to be being careful about how they held the cup and asked if it was too large for them. Although they said "No", I couldn't tell whether they were just being polite.

DECOR: I would term it "appropriately innocuous": It is not so bland as to signal "cheap" or "tasteless" but neither does it have any design element that would attract (distract) your attention.

PACKAGING: It comes in a tight-fitting plastic bag with a handle that makes it easy to carry _to_ the meeting. However, if you want to use the bag+handle to carry away the unused cups, you need either to cut open only a portion of the top or to tape it shut (my "go bag" for such meetings has suitable tape).

SHIPPING PACKAGING, manufacturer: When the manufacturer sealed the cardboard box, there was a gap between the top flaps and the packaging tape stuck to the plastic bag. When I pulled the tape off, it ripped a hole in the bag containing the cups. Minor annoyance to have to put tape on the bag to reseal it for carrying to the meeting. This is an easily correctable problem by the manufacturer and may have been "teething pains" present only in the initial shipment to reviewers.

SHIPPING PACKAGING, Amazon: "Products with Frustration-Free Packaging can frequently be shipped in their own boxes, without the need for an additional shipping box." The cardboard box packed by the manufacturer came in a slightly larger Amazon box. For some, this may be excessive packaging but for others it may be a welcome measure to ensure against damage from rough handling of their shipment.

5Perfect Companion for my Keurig Coffee Machine
By Comrade Larry
I used to stop at Dunkin Donuts every morning on my way to work (I actually had to go out of my way). We recently purchased a Keurig coffee machine so I was in search of a solution to bring my own coffee to work. I can't stand reusable travel mugs. After a few days they get a bad taste that I can't seem to wash out. I was considering ordering a ceramic travel mug and give that a try. I was in Sam's Club a few weeks ago and saw these for $10 for a pack of 50 cups. That's only twenty cents a cup. Problem Solved. I now fill the cup with two 8oz brews from my Keurig machine every morning. This doesn't really leave room for cream, but I drink my coffee black, so not an issue for me. I usually take about an hour to drink my morning coffee and these cups keep it warm enough for that. Not as hot as the styrofoam cups that Dunkin Donuts uses, but that's understandable. The Keurig machine dispenses coffee at 192 degrees and I can handle the cup with no problems. My wife says she would still prefer a sleeve. It is a little warm to hold. I could see where using boiling water for tea could be an issue. So now I'm saving 20 minutes and 80 cents every morning, and I have a wide selection of coffees to choose from.

5Tremendous Product
By Todd and In Charge
This is a very well-designed disposable travel mug. What I especially like is the design keeps your hands cool without the need for a "band" around the cup, the lid fits on easily, and the cup is sturdy, balanced, and readily slips into your car cup holder.

Bravo!
